Hi everyone, While each community is unique, many of the small tensions and conflicts we experience are, in fact, pretty common. Join us for a series of events with facilitation expert Karen Gimnig where we’ll explore common conundrums and strategies for solving them: Low Meeting Attendance | Wednesday, September 17, 3pm - 4pm MT Community members often express concern that there is low attendance at their business meetings. In this session we'll explore when to be concerned about low attendance, reasons it might be OK for people to opt out of meetings, and some strategies for addressing this if it's actually a problem. In this session we'll talk about why this happens and how to address it. We'll cover facilitation methods that can greatly reduce the problem without shutting out or putting down the more verbose members of your community. Cohousing doesn't work that way. What do we do in cohousing when someone parks in the guest spaces, uses the pool after hours or doesn't clean up after their pet? In this session we'll talk about how agreements work in community and the options we have for addressing non-compliance. We'll also talk about the likely outcomes of those options and some strategies for using the approach that will work best for you. Register here: https://cohousinginstitute.org/product/community-conundrums-member-agreements/ — Each event is free for CohoUS members or $30 for non-members. Learn more about membership here: https://cohousinginstitute.org/become-a-member/ If you have any questions, email us at cohousingassociationofus [at] gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you there!
