If you're interested in resolving conflict in cohousing, I'm offering a FREE TWO-HOUR WEBINAR about working effectively with community conflict tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 17, hosted by the FIC (Foundation for Intentional Community). Webinar times are: Pacific 10am-12 noon; Mountain 11am-1pm; Central 12pm-2pm; Eastern 1pm-3pm. Here's the FIC's link to register for the webinar: "When Conflict Gets Complicated: Three Kinds of Community Conflict." https://www.ic.org/event/three-kinds-of-conflict/ After registering the FIC will send the Zoom link for the webinar. This free two-hour webinar (with an opportunity to also donate to the FIC's good work with communities will offer: 1) A description of the three kinds of conflict as I see it: Structural Conflict; Interpersonal Conflict; and what I call "Especially Challenging Behaviors" -- each requiring a completely different remedy. I will describe how these kinds of conflict can occur at the same time, makit it hard to figure out what's going on and what to do about it. 2) One or two suggestions for effectively addressing each kind of conflict, so you can take useful information away from the webinar to use in your group. 3) An overview of my upcoming seven-week much more in-depth class on this topic, "Working Effectively with Three Kinds of Conflict," starting January 17. I look forward to meeting cohousers interested in this topic in the FIC's free webinar tomorrow. All good wishes, Diana Leafe Christian
