Cohousing-L Mailing List: Invitation to Participate in Research Study on Cohousing Development

Dear friends,

My name is Monica Bhatia and I am an Assistant Professor of Sociology at 
Washington State University. I am conducting a research study
examining the development of emerging cohousing communities.

The purpose of this study is: to better understand the resources individuals 
and groups draw upon when developing cohousing communities, as well as the 
challenges they encounter in the process. I am inviting individuals with 
experience in cohousing development to participate in an interview about their 
perspectives and experiences.

Who can participate: Adults (18+) who have helped plan or develop a cohousing 
community, including founders, forming group
members, and professionals such as developers, architects, and consultants.

Participation would involve: a one-hour interview conducted via Zoom or phone 
(based on your preference). With your permission, the interview would be audio 
recorded to ensure accuracy. Participation is entirely voluntary. You may 
decline to answer any question and may withdraw from the study at any time. If 
conditions allow, and with your consent, participation may also involve being 
observed in a private or public setting, observations in a private setting will 
only take place with your permission

Information you provide will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by 
law. Identifying information will be removed from transcripts, and pseudonyms 
will be used in any publications or presentations resulting from the study.
