At Ecovillage at Ithaca, we have four models of houses. Each model has been assigned a range of prices by our architects based on "desirability". Desirability was based on how many households selected a specific house site. Some members of the group oppose any use of price differentials. Others think that especially where a house site is in great demand, the price differential should be greater than it is at present. Did any other communities vary prices of otherwise identical houses? If so, how did you determine how much to vary them? If not, was there a specific reason why this was not used? We urgently need feedback on this issue, as we have crucial meetings on site selection this week. We appreciate any help you can give us. Thanks again for past assistance.
