Reminder/solicitation

Rob Sandelin's posting of his experiences with an ever-expanding
"circle of sharing" nurtured by the cohousing community he is part
of is a beautiful example of:

>items/stories/pluses/anecdotes about the joys of living in cohousing

that Judy Baxter suggested that we, as a group, work on creating.
So, this is just to remind you that if you have something that you
would like to contribute to the creation of such an "archive" of
stories..., please email directly to me (willic3 [at] rpi.edu).

This collection (or updates to it if it gets to be too long) will be
posted on a regular basis (assuming a sufficient volume of material).

Guidelines suggested were:

>true stories please? with at least a community, preferably a name,
>attached.

Motivation:

>I know there is lots of positive stuff out there about cohousing - it's just
>that most of us doing the talking here are in the trenches, very committed to
>Coh., and dealing with the nitty-gritty how-to's. And that means we focus on
>problems and get help on how to deal with them. But ...
>it gives an unbalanced picture -

Craig

P.S. If anyone would like me to email them 3 paragraphs from the
preface to "Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass
Media" by Herman and Chomsky which talks about the tendency for
institutional critiques (as presented in this book) to be dismissed as
"conspiracy theories", let me know.
