From: Lee Haring <LEHBC [at] CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU> Speaking for myself alone, I'd say that there's something fundamentally misconceived about households in cohousing having their own laundry machines. They don't get it. I don't think it's this black and white. Our two adult, two child household seems to generate a staggering amount of laundry (although it's less now that both children are more-or-less toilet trained). My tolerance for relatively distant laundry facilities was much higher when I was just processing laundry for myself. Our washer and dryer are currently on the second floor (where all the bedrooms are), and it's amazingly convenient. -- Jerry Callen jcallen [at] world.std.com (preferred) jcallen [at] think.com (OK, too) {uunet, harvard}!think!jcallen (if you must)
