I got embroiled in a discussion about the cooking abilities and attitudes towards cooking of men in cohousing. It seems in most of American society men are, uh, Culinarily Challenged. That is men cook much less than women, and cook fewer things, and with less complexity. I was forced to admit that as a general rule, the men at Sharingwood, while cooking the same amount of time, do in fact cook less elaborate meals. Us menfolk stick to tacos, pasta, and stir fry (with the exception of Bill who takes all sorts of interesting culinary projects.). Do other groups have gender culinary parity or are men cooking impaired everywhere? Rob Sandelin (They made me take machine shop in high school instead of home economics) Sharingwood
