Our developer introduced us to Alexander, and many of us were reading his work throughout our design process. It's hard to say whether any of his specific recommendations made it into our design, but then again, my reading is more that there is a relationship, or context, between architecture, landscape, and people, and that design must work within that context. So to use Alexander is more to apply his philosophy and attitude (in his words, his "language") to the design of a project than to pick and choose specific elements to reproduce.
