This has been my observation as well with the kids living in Muir Commons, at least in most cases. However, we have another causal variable to consider, that is, the type of parents who live in cohousing. Kids "learn what they live" and living in a cohousing community with many models and expanded opportunities, while being taught the values of consensus-building, leadership, and responsibility seems bound to produce, at least on average, future adults with better life skills. I also can confirm Rob's observation that home-schooled kids tend toward being less socially capable, although cohousing presents the opportunity to mitigate that problem.
