Cohousing-L Mailing List: My new years cohousing resolutions

Inspired by Wendall Berry, I share with you my new years resolutions.  
May your holiday season include the warmth and joy of community.

1. I resolve to be more humble.  To seek not the approval and 
admiration of others to the gratification of my own ego, but to bring 
others to their greatest glory.  I will take credit for little of the 
success of my tribe and recognize the excellence of my neighbors.

2. I resolve to be honest about my feelings.  I will not hide behind 
words but take responsibility for speaking what I feel.

3.  I resolve to share my appreciation's to those I love.  To regularly 
express my delight and joy at the privilege I have of living with these 
magnificent people.

4.  I resolve to listen twice as much as I speak.  To listen for 
meaning, to hear the emotion, to listen with my heart and not clutter 
my mind with my own retorts and responses.

5. I resolve to ask for help when I need it, and to offer help when I can.
