I just had to mention how much I really enjoy my commute via bus from the
southern burbs to downtown Denver. The time is not a waste for me - I read
the paper in the morning and periodicals or sci-fi novels on the way home.
It's a great transition from work to home mentality. Sitting in a traffic
jam one person to a car IS a waste of time/energy, so the more of us who use
public transport, the more justification there will be for light rail and
increased bus service. It looks like it will be at least 5 years before
light rail gets extended down to Littleton. Then I'll get to have a
relaxing train ride all the way instead of the fuming bus for the majority
of my 'quiet time'.
