Where does the electricity they use come from? Hydro (here), fossil fuel, or, gasp, nuclear? It isn't magically generated eco-cost free. I don't want to start a long thread on this, but just a pet peeve of mine that electric cars are assumed to be inherantly pollution cleaner or more efficient than vehicles that carry and burn their own fossil fuel. What's needed is to reduce commuter miles, increase commuter miles/unit of fuel. Arne
