At N Street, about half of our members are renters, half own the house 
they live in.  The community treats all equally for all its 
decision-making purposes.  Members are defined as someone who lives in 
the community (plus three exceptions made for historical reasons).  All 
members pay the same monthly dues.  

The community does not yet own any land or housing  all is owned by 
individuals, although the community rents part of the common house from 
one couple.
