One thing I have not yet mentioned about this might be interesting. At Sharingwood, when we were designing our Commonhouse we discovered, among many things, that we had no real expereience doing group design work together. The original site design was done by 2-3 people and so getting 24 adults working together on designing the commonhouse was a new experience. In the Danish model, you get that designing together experience in abundance. There is definately a great deal of value in this as far as communication, collaborative process etc. Doing a site design for lots gives you some of that, but not the same level. Rob Sharingwood
