Hear, hear! Hanging out is one of the things that attracted us to cohousing. 
 We too, did a lot of it in college and miss it.  Such unstructured, 
somewhat random meetings are what makes urban life, that is, the 
democratic,and civilized aspects of urban life, so exciting, creative, and 
productive.
