John Hear! Hear! By the way, the criteria for connecting interpersonally in a neighborhood (in the western world) that I posted --is, just the tip of the iceberg--if I had more time to volunteer, I could post all the info I have collected over the last thirty years. Some other stuff: * People only move 1400 feet from their home, when on foot--in good weather and full daylight--as the weather worsens or it gets dark, the distance reduces drastically/proportionally . * People are visual--if folks can't see INTO shared facilities they can't see who is inside and can't what they are doing--then they won't use the facility as frequently--so, you need big windows facing the right direction . * The width of sidewalks, paths, walkways dictates the number of people who will walk on that path per hour.
