I should warn Fred and everyone else.  The preferred name for the  
cohousing Web site is now

http://seclab.cs.ucdavis.edu/~stanifor/cohousing.html

"seclab" instead of "everest".  The name "everest" will continue to  
work for some time into the future, but may eventually be  
discontinued.  New links and bookmarks should refer to "seclab"
