I would add to this list: 1. Save native shrubs and topsoil during bulldozing and reuse same. Save landscaping costs. 2. Stack plumbing so bathrooms and kitchen use same wall for piping and share pipes where possible. 3. Orient housing to take advantage of natural heating and cooling. 4. Use opening casement windows and orient house so casements can "catch" prevailing summer breezes and funnel them into house. (saves air conditioning)
