Efficient Home Construction Methods--- contact Tim Mayo at 613 996-3089. 
Mayo works for the Feds branch of gov. that is heading up the "Advanced
Housing" program---generally down to earth stuff. 
They have a manual on "How To Do It" and can direct you to otherpeople who
are doing the latest research in this field, both in Canada and the USA.
