ALERT !!!    ALERT!!!!    ALERT!!!!

Tomorrow morning the U. S. House appropriations committee will vote on
whether to extend the moratoruim that has protected our beautiful California
Coast (and other coastlines too!) from offshore oil drilling.  I won't try to
convince you now if you don't already know the critical importance of this.
 But if you do, you KNOW WE HAVE TO DO ALL WE CAN TO PROTECT THIS PRECIOUS
RESOURCE.
There are 6 swing votes on the committee.  We need those votes!  The issue
is:  we want them to vote to *KEEP* THE MORATORIUM ON DRILLING OFF THE COAST.
 This will be in the house appropriations committee at 8:30 a.m. June 27.
 Here are the swing votes.  If you have friends or relatives in those states
that you could call that would call their  rep, great!  I found email address
for only one.  The list:

A quick message:  "Our coastal economy and environment are too precious to
risk for 40 days of oil!!"
