One of our local projects has had considerable turnover. Also know folks have left forming groups. The reasons I have heard from folks as to why they left cohousing: First two seem to be most common. * Locate to new area for new job. * Financial realities of home ownership were too great. * Not comfortable living in group situation * Divorce or relationship breakup * Too many demands on time and energy. * Group dynamic too broken - relationship(s) to or within group not satisfactory * Not enough control over decisions. * Not enough support for kids * Failing health * Site location not convienent to life or work * Not enough people like me in group * Units not satisfactory, too small, too close together, too far from parking.
