Barry Savage asked:

" When did all the front porches disappear from houses, to be replaced by
garage doors?"

It happened while most of us were sleeping. But I was awake at 3:00 a.m.
that night and saw it.

The cable TV companies sent a tremendous high energy microwave blast thru the
cable that blew the front porches up into the air. This was immediately
followed by a force field projected from a high tower (sponsored by the auto
mfgs) that caught the porch pieces in mid-air and transformed them into
garage doors. Before they hit the ground another force field was sent out
that miraculously installed them on the fronts of houses.

The people who previously had garages but no garage doors woke up the next
morning and said, "gee, thanks, I needed that."

The people who didn't have garages noticed this funny looking panel stuck on
the fronts of their dwellings and asked their spouses, "honey, did roofers
leave some kind of scaffold up against the house?"

Oh yeah, some people were really confused when they tried to walk over to the
front porch swing but fell into a pit instead. But they just figured the
neighborhood vandals had had a heavy night. So they put up a movement
detecting light and and auto-tracking shotgun where the front porch used to
be and built an 18 x 24 redwood deck in the back yard with a matching set of
glider swings.

The news media failed to report it because a few stray garage doors came down
on their news cars, trucks and 'copters. They thought the Unidentified
Flying Garage Doors were UFOs and were too prudent to report it. Didn't want
to cause a "War-of-the-Worlds" like panic.

Rob, where you were living, (before Sharingwood) how did it happen in your
old neighborhood? This was how it happened in Denver/Boulder. Really. I saw
it.

Ever watching during the wee hours,

Mike M
