Thanks for the info, I tried getting Calthorpe's phone number, I don't know
if I have the right one--I will try to contact him to join the conference---I
will also contact Gehl to see if he is interested in joining the dicussion on
design and social networking. While I am at it I will contact Dorit Fromm as
well.

I don't why you are surprised that I haven't read Calthorpe's books--let's
see, what excuse can I make up--I am too busy----no that one's
overused---hmmmmm I am waiting for someone to post a condensation of the
books---might have to wait quite a while ---oh well I can't think of any more
excuses, so I'll have to read the books; but, here's the deal---I'll read one
of Calthorpe's books and write up a review for this conference IF you read
Jan Gehl's Life Between Buildings (Van Nostrand Reinhold) and write a review
for this conference---is it a deal? Yes?No?
Although it was originally published in 1971, read the 1987 edition.
Which Calthorpe book is best to read?
