Cohousing-L Mailing List: Using information from this list

I got a private inquiry which I am responding to the whole list to just 
to get feedback.  I have downloaded several hundred messages from 
Cohousing-L (the past 2 years worth actually) and stuck them into a 
Word document, (250 pages!!!! ackkkk)  loosely organized by groupings.  
I used some of this info for the 1995 CRG (Cohousing Resource Guide) 
and intend to use  info from the list for the 1996 CRG.

If I used anyones words verbatim, I privately emailed them and received 
permission to do so, and also gave them thanks in the credit section of 
the introduction.  I do extract a lot of  info and rewrite material, 
mostly condensing and generalizing in which case I use my own words and 
have not asked for permission. For example there are about 40 pages of 
topics relating to affordablility which I will condense in the 96 CRG 
into a single page, bulleted list, using items from many messages in the list.

I am letting you all know this in case someone has a problem with this, 
in which case please email me and lets talk. The CRG is not copyright 
and so any info in it can and is freely copied and distributed by all 
means mechanical and electronic - as it should be.  I do the CRG as a 
non-profit service to share information and intend to continue this 
service each year into the forseeable future.  This list is an 
excellent source of material and the CRG merely spreads this material 
to those who don't have access to email land.
