In our temporary commonhouse we have 3, 4X 8 foot bulletin boards, and = a 4x4 bulletin boards. These are just sheets of "Beaver Board" which is = a composite building material, cheap and makes a great bulletin board. In our community, bulletin boards are crucial to the communication = efforts and very much part and parcel of our community life. If you = want to let folks know about something it goes up on display. We have = space allotted for each committee, a general announcements and pictures = space, and a place for kids art (although we removed all the art stuff = from the kids space in our temporary commonhouse so this space got taken = over by the development committee plan renditions) We also have 3 outdoor bulletin boards which are the power meter kiosks. = All our power is underground and there are panel boards which hold the = meters for each house. The meters are on the back side, the sides = facing the road are covered with fliers announcing events, etc.=20 Our commonhouse under construction will have one whole wall dedicated to = bulletin boards. Next to our newsletter, bulletin boards are the = primary communication tool. Rob Sandelin Sharingwood
