At The Cohousing Center we charge 2% for development consulting, 3% for 
financing consulting, and 2% for marketing consulting. Architecture is 
7-10% of the construction budget. 

In the cohousing community most people feel that we charge more than we 
should, however no one else provides the comprehensiveness and degree of 
hand holding that we do.  We also collect about 2/3 of our fees after the 
group gets financing from a bank, which gives us a huge stake in the 
group's success and gives the group a lot of unpaid service when it needs 
it most.
