I thought of this eventuality myself. I can hardly wait either!

1997 Seattle: The Closing Ceremony consists of the entire conference jointly
reviewing a Budget Spreadsheet.
The Cohousing List is buried for weeks with arguments between the Free Market
adherents and the Keynesian theorists. The socialists are so pissed they quit
the List in protest.

1999 Boston: The Closing Ceremony consists of 200 people trying to decide when
the next meeting will be.
I don't need to tell you what this would be like.

2002 (couldn't all agree on a date in 2001) Tuscon: The Closing Ceremony
consists of 300 people designing a Common House kitchen layout.

2004 Boulder: The Conference returns to Boulder, New Age capital of the planet.
Left brainers boycott, right brainers have the time of thier lives, as Jean Luc
Picard is the keynote speaker. Closing Ceremony consists of group recital of
"To boldly go where no one has gone before..."

2004 Vancouver: Due to protests over the use of old growth trees for lumber in
the conference hall, the conference takes place outdoors. The Closing Ceremony
consists of everybody scraping the mud off of each others' shoes. About 30% of
the attendees refuse to touch someone else's feet, saying they don't believe in
tribal rituals. Another 30% refuse to do it, saying mud is natural and should
be left alone. 30% just do it, and have fun, while 10% of the people there
really get into it and go home insisting mud cleaning be performed at every
group meeting.

2006 Cyberspace: Because of continually wastefull energy and building
practices, the price of fuel is now $20/gallon. No one can afford to move, so
the Conference is held virutally over the Internet. Attendance soars; no one
has to hug, touch, or look at anyone else's eyes. Cohousing has finally hit the
mainstream.
