LOREN [at] BEAUTY.BATNET.COM is the author of the message below but due to a listserv problem it was posted by the COHOUSING-L sysop (Fred). **************** FORWARDED MESSAGE FOLLOWS ********************* >As soon as you limit in any way a community, it's not cohousing. I disagree. Community by its very nature involves limits. There are participants and non-participants, and the dividing line (or grey zone, if you were) between these two groups is a limit. Everything else, IMHO, is semantics. And who do you think *you* are, to speak as the Authority as to what cohousing is and isn't? I *might* accept Kathy or Charles making a statement of that sort; from you it is mere hubris. And pretty intolerant hubris at that. You are acting every bit as judgemental and exclusive as those whom you criticize.
