Howdy: The National Cohousing Conference was a splendid and uplifting experience. Kudos to the organizers of it! I enjoyed the Closing Ceremony, but I can understand why agnostics, atheists or purists (or shy nondancers) might not have. The ceremony was rich with religious, spiritual, etcetera, symbolism...and therein lies a problem. No matter how you handle it, such symbolism pushes hot buttons that i'd prefer weren't pushed at a cohousing conference. By the way, i'm glad there were no tv news crews at the conference. I can easily imagine what conference event would have been prominently featured in the tv evening news coverage of the conference: us circle dancing to rhythmic drum music. Thanks again for a great conference! Happy trails, until we meet again! James Kalin
