Cohousing-L Mailing List: Commuting is not sustainable

Commuting is not sustainable. The Old Oakland CoHousing Community (in
downtown Oakland California) will be 2 short blocks form the BART station
(subway) and similarly close to many bus routes.  I understand that a large
parking garage recently built by the new Federal Building stands almost
empty most days, because the federal employees are making such good use of
the BART. We will be living just minutes by public transportation from San
Francisco and Berkeley. What more could you want? Yes, still shamelessly
recruiting!
