Cohousing-L Mailing List: Sebastopol cohousing clears a hurdle

Last night the Sebastopol Planning Commission unanimously and with glowing
accolades approved our project. This, unfortunately, is only a
_recommendation_ to the City Council, which makes the final decision.
However, it was a very strong and positive recommendation, which helps.

The City Council meeting is on August 6th. To those of you who have sent
or solicited letters to our City Council, thanks very much. Letters from
city officials in your city who are happy that cohousing is in their town
are the best. We are keeping copies of all the letters that come in and
will make them available to other groups in the approval phase of a
project.
