I'ld like to second the "personal responsibility" issue. We have a dog in our appartment building and therefore she has to "go" on common property. Of course we clean up after her. However, because she is a dog and has odors, she attracts outside dogs to come and relieve themselves on the property as well. A territory sort of thing. I feel therefore it is my responsibilty to clean up after these dogs as well because they are in fact there because of my dog. So I do a "poop patrol" every 3 days or so where I walk around inspecting all the grouds as part of the regular walking exercise. Pets are great for those of us who love them, but I'd like not to be responsible for causing inconviences for others. Now we have 2 young kids and I guess the same could be said for them as well. Hopefully we'll be cleaning up other stuff though. Brian D. Sullivan, Lecturer Department of Architecture Chinese University of Honk Kong email bdsullivan [at] cuhk.edu.hk
