The core group of East Lake Commons (Atlanta, GA) is one week away from an intensive weekend of design workshops with Chuck Durrett. The focus of this workshop is the common house and common spaces. As only one of two involved parties with children, I would like to ask the list what kinds of children's facitilies do other cohousing communities have, other than a playroom in the common house and some playground equipment. In our case, our children are young - 1-1/2 and 3-1/2. However, the other set of children are 10 and 15. And of course, who knows what other children we might add along the way to full occupancy. So, I welcome comments and suggestions regarding facilities for children of all ages, though I am especially interested in hearing about those for young children. Paul B.
