Today was the first really warm spring day, and it brought out all the kids 
onto the road. One of our community elders, Rosemary, drove up on her way out 
to do something, and handed the kids a big bucket of sidewalk chalk and said: 
I think you need this today. The whole road is now an art show full of star 
wars, dinosaurs, castles and even the Hale Bopp comet.

Two nights ago was a lunar eclipse. I would have missed it had not one of my 
neighbors gone door to door to let people know. Numerous old pairs of 
binoculars and even a telescope appeared and many of us watched the eclipse 
together.
