Just a reminder of a real time chat on CoHousing March 31 at 7:00 EST, 10:00 PST. the channel will be called #CoHousing. This is an experiment and if it is successful we can set future dates. For those of you not so familiar with IRC (Internet Relay Chat) allow me to explain: The participants can see what is being typed by others so conversations can be had. To do so you will need the appropriate software (called a client). If you don't have one download it from this site: "www.ctfire.com" go to mIRC Programs and choose between the 16 bit (if you run windows 3.1) or the 32 bit (Win95 users). Other parts to that site may be useful like the FAQ's (frequently asked questions). Then after 7:00 pm EST March 31, connect to a server. Once connected type "/join #CoHousing" without the "". If you have chosen a server that demands you register your nickname (mine is Rob_VI) the FAQ's will tell you how or just choose another server. This was intended for youth with adults welcome so we'll get it started and turn it over, right? :-) Rob Stewart rstewart [at] island.net www.island.net/~showtime A young participant suggested a conversation with their views but adults were invited. A chat line would be interesting. It would require a time and date ie: March 31/97 at 7:00 pm EST, 10:00 pm PST and a channel: #CoHousing. I will try it as an experiment and if it works then we can post here for future times. It will be successful if 10 or more people join in the discussion. Those knowledgable in CoHousing are invited to become Ops and will have questions directed to them. My name on the chat line is Rob_VI.
