Total number of households:  219
Total number of dogs:  46
Average number of dogs per household:  .21
(or 1 dog per 5 households)

It¹s interesting to note that 4 of the respondents mentioned cats as a 
much bigger issue than dogs even though I didn't ask for cat info.
