ReChild-Friendly Landscape

Architects who do multi -family housing fairly consistently report that
kids gravitate toward hardscape where they can ride bikes and skate and
play hopscotch and draw with sidewalk chalk and gambol on climbing
structures. At the conference, I believe it was Kathryn Lorenz who pointed
out that at Nyland, where there are over 30 acres of open space, some of it
very grassy, this is also true. Of course, as child friendly as hardscape
may be, a community wouldn't want to put in a whole lot, I'm sure. Just
don't forget to have some of it , preferably adjacent to or very close to
your common house.
