I reccommend the following books:

Resolving Conflicts within others and within yourself  Gini Graham Scott.
This book is really excellent, full of all kinds of practical ideas and tools.

The Mediation Process : Practical Strategies for Resolving Conflict 
(Jossey-Bass Conflict Resolution Series)"Christopher W. Moore
This book also has some very good, hands on practical sort of teachings for 
mediation..

The  Mediator's Handbook
         Jennifer E. Beer, Eileen Stief;

>From Conflict to Cooperation : How to Mediate a Dispute"
         Beverly Potter, Phil Frank; 

These books were all recommended to me by a family counselor who does conflict 
mediation. You can order them all from any bookstore or online from

Eventually the Intentional Communties Resource Pages will have an article
