Well, it's winter today, but here's the last update for the Journal inserts
I thought i'd post this separately from the townhouse sale announcement

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Life continues at Monterey CoHousing (just West of Minneapolis, MN) We have
the best features of urban living *and* relatively large green space (at the
boundary between a first-ring suburb and the metropolican core proper) on
2 1/4 acres.

Summer has brought the usual focus on the courtyard, lots of croquet (both by
the rules and new creative variations,) water fights, gardening, gardening, and
beautiful flowers. The gardeners get lots of "Co-Chats". People come and go
on trips, we've taken care of some major needs of our 1924 building and
driveway (sealing driveways, tuckpointing, replacing masonry chimney caps,
replacing the bases of 4 huge pillars, etc), all done professionally and paid
for from reserves (very necessary). we survived the storms with no major loss
of trees, and mourn the losses in our parks.

We continue to be grateful to Rob Sandelin for his workshop and the Decision
Board that we implemented after that - That gives us a way to encourage timely
individual action while still allowing the whole group to know what is going on
and get involved where they care to. We move more decisions to small groups.

Our unique "swing room", i.e. a room in the Big House not connected to any of
the 8 coop apartments, has swung again. This is the 3rd household to buy it -
as needs change. it is now a watercolor studio.

We are gradually collecting names of people who would like to know about
vacancies. And there is a possibility that a home will be available at some
unknown time in the future.
