Urban Ecology, an organization based in Oakland now, was the group of
people who got me interested in cohousing in the first place. How
fitting to see their name come up in the cohousing list serve!

Friends and neighbors, UE folks had a vision for ecologically sensitive
urban living. It was in their library and in disucussions with fellow
UEmembers that I read about and heard about cohousing and became
fascinated with the idea.

I did not know at that time that I would move into a cohousing
development almost 20 years later, as a member of Two Acre Wood in
Sebastopol, northern California.
