group as an alternative, but thought the commute too long.

My advice is to have a listening or airing as your first meeting, where you 
just listen to whatever people want to say...much like the Quaker 
mtgs...without responding. It would be good if there were some tips given of 
trying to get into a nuetral space for listening. THen the following meeting 
you could have an exchange. After ten years, getting into trying to process 
stuff in the beginning will be too intense and long. Of course, look what the 
truth commission did in South Africa. I guess it's always relative.
