There can be an interesting dichotomy in people's esthetics which a pile of
dirt can bring out. Some folks really want the manicured suburban living
look, you know, the house beautiful syndrome. Others don't care and are more
comfortable with dirt piles and random wood debries. Often those folks who
object to the dirt pile play area, are objecting to something else besides
the kids play. A good process will discover this. This dichotomy will play
out in many other areas as well, for example the cleanliness of your
commonhouse, your front porch clutter, etc.

some of the adults had an interesting discussion on esthetic values.
