Cohousing-L Mailing List: Address problem

I recently received a message from barbara keppel <71612.340 [at] 
computserve.com>
about our proposed tour of cohousing in The Netherlands next year.  I prepared
a response, but my system refused to accept it, claiming that this was not a
valid e-mail address.  As I was only replying to a message, it must be a valid
address, but I could not doctor it to make it acceptable to omnipotent machine
in the sky.  Any ideas - especially from Barbara herself?
