Docs to conference?

As a germinating cohouser, burning soul and wanabe developing partner, I
intend to fly in to the cohousing conference, swoop up oodles of info
and flame stoking inspiration. One thing that I think might be helpful
for all to share are sets of documents and paperwork that keep our
collective consciences on the same page(s).
I mean more than the usual declarations, bylaws and other legal items,
although they would certainly be useful for review by folks in genesis,
but also things like the meal planning forms that hang in the CH next to
the bulletin board, assignment rosters, promotional material, agendas
and minutes, orientation/membership manuals, purchase and sales
agreements, bank loan packages, budgets. Understandably, there may be
some things groups are reluctant to share because of the blood, sweat,
tears and dollars invested. And all that refined pulp would add up to a
hefty 30 plus pounds to be lugged on and off airlines. Still, our group
is already asked for copies of our documents, such as they are, and it
might be interesting to see what others have done who are more seasoned
at paper systems.
So maybe the appropriate suggestion is to bring just a few samples the
groups are most proud of or that seem to function well.
I recently read Winslow's bulletin board and it was very helpful for
getting "the feel" of a group from a different angle.
By the way: Bravo to Cohousing.org. It is really looking good these
days. Thanks for the "Danish slide show."
