We just used strips of colored paper, in a packet clipped together with a paper clip or rubber band. No "ring." We haven't used them a lot. Not enough to get good at it. The "Winslow" system we used has two separate sets of meanings, one for discussion, and one for testing for consensus. Discussion has things like "I don't understand" "I can clarify" "I have an opinion or idea." Red=process concern, like we are off topic. Voting has agreement, lukewarm agreement, neutral, lukewarm concerns, blocking objection. It helps to have the actual phrase(s) of what the card means, printed on the card. In usual practice, we test for consensus with a thumbs up, thumbs down, or flat hand (=so so, mixed, lukewarm). Lynn Nadeau RoseWind Cohousing , Port Townsend WA
