HOUSE FOR SALE!

Eno Commons is a caring, diverse community of 22 households that share
11+ acres in a beautiful rural setting just bordering the Eno River
State Park in northern Durham, North Carolina. We have a 4 BR, 2½ Bath
home, 1,940 square foot house for sale. We are looking to sell as soon
as possible due to a job transfer situation.

All 22 houses are completed and occupied and our commons house is
nearing completion. This is a caring, devoted group of individuals
committed to keeping a vibrant (FUN) community that decides community
issues on a consensus model. Many shared meals, fun parties such as
children's sock hops (children often range up into the 60's as in years,
not numbers), all afternoon Halloween parties (bonfires and libations
included), and any other opportunity we can make up to get together for
fun and sharing. We are a diverse group of families with children,
single couples, retirees, single parents and plain old single folks who
generally like cats! Other amenities include a wooded setting
(hardwoods), central meadow, community garden, private and buffered
site, a stream on the property, and a five-minute walk to the Eno
River. Our greatest feature is the neighbors who live here. I am
always warmed by their humor and commitment to each other as neighbors
and friends.

Our house has a passive geothermal design with many custom features,
such as pine wooden trim, and terra cotta floors throughout. And we're
the best (though this might be debatable with a few other prime lots)
lot in the whole place as we back up to an old stand of hardwoods to the
south that continues around to the west. This is a very private lot.
The meadow goes on from there. Being nestled in the trees has provided
a wonderful private haven without any solar loss - we are bright, open
and airy.
