Allen, 

I am very disappointed that you have chosen to blatantly abuse the
Cohousing-L mailing list by posting an off topic message.  I have taken
the unprecidented step of dropping your subscription in response.  Your
status as a prominent and respected person in the intentional communities
movement makes this particularly troubling.  You are welcome to subscribe
again when you agree to refrain from posting off topic messages.

Off topic postings have the potential to greatly harm the discussion. They
encourage other off topic messages.  If there are too many off topic
messages people will choose to unsubscribe.  Many people do not
participate because of the already high volume of messages. I expect some
people will NEGATIVELY impressed with your cause as a result of your off
topic posting.

There is a legitmate way to offer cohousing-L readers information on your
favorite cause:  simply have some very brief (one or two lines) with your
signature at the bottom of an on-topic message.  These two lines can
include www or email address for more information.

AGAIN EVERYONE, PLEASE DO NOT REPLY OVER THE LIST ON THIS TOPIC.
