We have used surveys at Hundredfold a number of times as well. Examples are:
Living in community (how do we plan to balance privacy and community? pets?
fences? what type of house?); Site criteria (good for passive solar,
affordable, location, etc.); Business in Community (pertaining to cottage
industry within the community), etc. This was especially helpful when
choosing a site, because at one point we had six or seven on our plate. One
of our brilliant members loves to make spreadsheets, God love him, and they
really are helpful.

If any of you are interested in seeing our questionnaires for our surveys,
