to keep it brief, and save my hands-
Monterey Cohousing is like many of the others described - 1st come 1st served,
reservations for guest rooms, free to family and friends of members, 2 week
limit but more can be negotiated ( one grand-daughter of a member recently
stayed 3 weeks, her 3rd or 4th year in a row, she is practically part of the
community.

We ask for a donation from other guests, mostly other cohousers, I guess
cohousers are a special kind of family member. suggestion - $15 for small
guest room $20 for large.

We have a lot of common space relative to our size (rehab building) - members
can reserve space for private events, 1st come 1st served, people are expected
to discuss and work out conflicts. It works pretty well. No charge.
Sometimes we get an unsolicited donation.

We require a member host for events for outside groups, whether they are work
groups, meditation retreats, whatever. And ask people to be considerate, both
of the residents who live next to common space, and of the people at the
events.
