You don't say how short is short. Chuck and Katie's book has a fairly short newspaper annoucement on p. 15. I distilled it down to an ad which I never ran: Most homes today isolate the family and discourage a neighborhood atmosphere. We want to live in a large, social neighborhood that addresses our needs for community and privacy. SoCoHo (Sonoma County Cohousing) is running this ad in a homeschooling newsletter: Have you been looking for a safe, environmentally conscious community in a small, hip town in which to raise your children? We're building one in Cotati! Come and find out about this thoroughly modern yet ancient solution to the challenges of living well in the 21st century. Create a village with us! [Meeting time. Phone #] PERCH is running this ongoing free ad in the Palo Alto Weekly: Cohousing is a new style of housing development that fosters close-knit communities by sharing some facilities, meals and other activities for all ages.
